fiction vs reality

the article “The Art of Immersion: Fear of Fiction” written by Frank Rose brings out the idea of how readers implant in themselves so much from their reading that they wish it was real life. Furthermore people are also reading about the main characters of the story and picking up their character traits. Frank Rose believes the will being of people reading books and entering a fantasy world is harmful. The article specifies how people today really do not want a sense of authenticity and how immersed they are with the latest trends or hot topics in books. Rose is trying to express that people find todays pop cultures in books and movies as a safe house, a place to get away from everyday problems. 
This is harmful because when one runs away from their problem by consuming them selves in books, when they come back into reality the problem is still there. When the author refers to “Pandora” he is talking about a fiction place where a person is getting into a situation over which one has very little control over
