What Happens In One Life Effects You In The Next

Ebenezer Scrooge was a cold hearted, cheap, and lonely man. He preferred it this way. Even during Christmas holidays he was like this. All he believed in was his business and money nothing else. The business he liked so much was named Scrooge and Marley. The name was right outside side the store and Marley's name is never painted in. Marley was Scrooges partner seven years ago but is now dead. He died no other night then Christmas Eve. Everyone knew he only cared about his business and never attempted to say hello or good afternoon to him. He wanted nothing to do with anyone even his nephew. His nephew being the total opposite of him loved Christmas and didn't care all about money that much. His nephew just being married recently was excuse for him not visit. Didn't matter he never had excuse to visit before that. As Scrooge leaves work he begins to head home on this dark gloomy Christmas Eve. As he reaches his front door step of his old, creepy looking house where no other than his partner Marley lived he sees something on the knocker. Its no other than Marley's face. It eventually disappeared. No thinking it was anything he continued into his house like usual but looking at the back of the door for Marley to be there. As Scrooge proceeds with everything in house he sits in the chair in his room but before doing so he double locks his door which was very unusual. As he leans back he sees the bell on the ceiling begin to swing and then every bell beings to swing louder and louder. Suddenly he his something coming to his door and its no other than Marley's Ghost. Attached to him are chains. Scrooge cant believe it and is scared to death. Marley tells him that he is to roam Earth with these chains for all eternity. The chains were attached to him because of business and not helping others when he had the chance. Also says that Scrooges chains are longer than his seven years ago but will be visited by three spirits and he can change that.
Stephen King would begin to say that Scrooge hating everything besides money and his business is the devil inside. What Scrooge would need is some horror in his life to balance out his life and emotions. King would say that this ghost are all in his mind. This are here to give him horror and scare him into what might happen to him. If he doesn't listen to the ghost his afterlife will be walking Earth for all eternity. Scrooges fear of the ghost will lead to destroy his hate everything and the love he has for money and his business.
"I am here to-night to warn you, that you may have yet a chance and hope of escaping my fate. A chance and hope of my procuring, Ebenezer" says Marley's Ghost. This quote represents that there was ghost talking to Scrooge and it was one his friends. The ghost is enlisting so much fear into Scrooge that he is going to listen and try to save himself from Marley's fate. If Scrooge doesn't listen and continues you living with his hate and love of creed he will end up with a longer chain than Marley and roam Earth for an eternity.

  1. Your blog was interesting. I did hit a few bumps trying to follow some of your writing, but overall I liked the way you retold the story for your summary.
