In the article “Hidden Intellectualism” written by Gerald Graff , Graff target college students to inform them about a hidden intellectualism that can be found in our everyday society. In the article Graff draws attention to the many types and ways different people can identify with intellectualism. He argues that people are intelligent in several ways and just need to learn how to plug the intellectualism they enjoy into a school-like setting during classes. In the article use the word "street smart". But do street smart really mean. Many kids learn how to survive in street and pick up lesson better and easier then learning from a book or a teacher. street smart kids are intellectual within what they know, instead of being intellect in school which is Graffs point in Hidden Intellectualism. Colleges and school do not give those “street smart” kids a chance in schools and simply over look them even though they have all the need to be taught how to make an intellectual approach in schools. School need to help this type of students and get them interested in school. Also show the the kid not only you have to be street smart. You also have to be book smart. Let give this kids a chance in the real world. What they see in the street they it more greater than learning they in school.we just need to encouraged them that it more to life they the street life. Education should be more important for a kid to have then a strong background in the street.
